- Students applying to UIC College of Medicine
- As of a week ago, UIC has returned to a policy of accepting two Behavioral/Social courses (in the same field) and one additional social/behavioral science course to meet their minimum requirements. You may use the courses listed in the BESS AMCAS classification (Anthropology, Economics, Family Studies, Psychology, Sociology) to meet this. What does this mean to you? For example, if you have two courses in Economics and one course in Sociology, this would fulfill the requirement. For more information, please see their new website at: http://www.medicine.uic.edu/admissions/apply_to_the_md_program/pre_requisites/
- For students applying to medical school
- In order to send letters from LEO to medical schools participating in the AMCAS pilot letters program, you MUST provide The Career Center with an AMCAS Letter Request Form so that we have your AMCAS ID number and your AMCAS Letter ID. Both of these numbers are necessary for AAMC to match your letters to your application. You can obtain your AMCAS Letter Request Form by completing the information in the “Letters of Evaluation” section of your application. For more information on how to complete this portion of the application, flyers are available at The Career Center or on our website.
